You’ve done the primary care visits. You’ve heard “your levels are within normal range.” You’ve left appointments with nothing but a shrug and a printout.
You’re ready to try something new.
McMurray functional medicine at Steel City Medical Center hears you, first. Then we use your history and your biology to define a protocol that helps you feel your best – at any age!
Most medicine asks what’s wrong. Functional medicine asks why.
That difference matters. A lot. When you treat the root cause , whether that’s a hormone imbalance, a metabolic issue, or something conventional labs aren’t even checking, you get real outcomes instead of managed symptoms.
Our McMurray clinic runs a lean, experienced team of registered nurses built for patients who don’t have time to waste. Consultations, procedures, injections, lab draws; all under one roof, without the waiting room marathon.
McMurray functional medicine begins with your full picture: health history, symptoms, and the right labs to back it up.
From there, Dr. Donaldson and our clinical team build a care plan around your actual numbers; not a population average. We check in weekly. We adjust when something isn’t working. We don’t hand you a prescription and disappear.
We see patients from across southwestern Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, and West Virginia. For many of them, this clinic is the first place that’s treated their health like a problem worth solving.
The McMurray clinic was built for people who want high-quality care close to home; no drive into the city, no corporate waiting room, no rushing through an intake.
When you’re ready to get actual answers, our McMurray functional medicine team is here.

New patients can often be seen same-day depending on the visit type. For scheduled procedures or therapies, plan for 24 hours to about a week out. Call or book online and we’ll find the fastest option for you.
For patients dealing with what seems like “aging issues,” hormone issues, metabolic problems, or conditions that conventional care has failed to address; yes, it can be highly effective. We use evidence-based protocols, not wellness trends. Most patients notice meaningful changes on day one but certainly within just a few weeks as replenishment and healing take root.
Every patient’s situation is a little different, so our team will ask a few questions before scheduling to make sure we have the right amount of time. Generally, plan for around 30 minutes; enough to go through your health history, talk through symptoms, and order labs if needed. It’s not a checkout. It’s the beginning of an actual care relationship.
